Reviews
Very tasty food and friendly staff! The pricy menu is worth it! We got a nice explanation on the wine and food, highly recommended.
I had spatzle mit frischen pfifferlingen und burratina which roughly translates to spaetzle with fresh chanterelles and burratina. It was supposed to be a Swabian dish and I understand that fresh egg pasta in rich broth or sauce was supposed to be what I had.
Shockingly, I had boiled fresh egg pasta and burratina with 4 tiny sticks of chanterelles mushroom sliced in half. Hear me right, "boiled". There was no sauce nor broth. It was as tasty as water can get. I couldn't finish the meal and my friend hesitantly finished it.
Knowing it cost 19€, I sincerely thought that perhaps quality would be prioritized over their service. To my dismay, I had to wait for 20mins from reading the menu before my order could be taken, even with their 3 running staff for 11 tables of 2-3 pax.
Food was served quick enough and I applaud that but, nonetheless, for the price that was charged, a taste could have been present - be it salt, pepper, the taste of the mushroom, a form of sauce or a form of broth etc.
If I wanted to eat cheese in boiled pasta and be ignored by staff, I could have just done it at home and get scolded by my mother. Seeing alot of ill reviews posted before mine made me think whether the restaurant takes reviews seriously.
Great place near the U. Family owned. The owner was amazing translating and explaining every item on the menu making sure we ordered what we liked. The food was excellent, party of 4 and all were satisfied. Recommend !!
Tasty! This Swabian restaurant is charming and the staff are friendly and helpful. Very much enjoyed the fried cod to start and the ox cheek with a side of spatzle for my main course. Excellent wine suggestion! Near the U so really good location for dining before or after art.
Really friendly almost family style and very open and pro diversity place. If you want to eat well and be freely who you are this is your place!
